....is Italian Turkey Burgers

I like a good burger but sometimes they can feel a little heavy, I found a recipe for Italian Burgers that sounded wonderful but I decided to lighten it with ground turkey & by using a greek yogurt mixture in place of mayonnaise. I'm really happy with how they turned out, the balsamic added a nice flavor and the greens and avocado are the perfect topping for summer.
The Burger
1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
1/2 red onion, diced
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 egg
1/3 cup bread crumbs
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2  tsp dried basil
salt & pepper

The 'Mayonnaise'
1/2 cup greek yogurt
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
1/4  tsp dried oregano
1/4  tsp dried basil

The Topping
4 ciabatta or focaccia buns, split
4 slices provolone cheese
1 avocado, sliced
About 2 cups lightly packed arugula
1/2 lemon, juiced
olive oil, salt & pepper

Heat grill to medium (350° to 450°).
Combine ground turkey with chopped onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs & salt and pepper, mixing with your hands until just combined. Divide into 4 portions and form into patties. Using your thumb, press a dent into the center of each patty. Combine remaining burger ingredients and brush onto cooked patties, after the patty is flipped & when they're removed from the grill. In the last 2 to 3 minutes of cooking, top burgers with cheese and lightly toast buns. Assemble burgers, topping them with avocado, lightly dressed arugula, and a hefty dollop of 'mayonnaise' mixture.

Happy Grilling!
