....is New Orleans TwentyThirteen, Day One

On the First of May, CPB & I took a plane bound for New Orleans, Louisiana! I'm a little slow to post them, but it was a wonderful trip and I wanted to share. Here's a snap shot of our first day, traveling.

The few from the plane arriving in New Orleans, the edge of Lake Pontchartrain and the surrounding marsh.

I'm a hand holder....

We were picked up at the airport by CPB's cousin, Laurie, she was our lovely host for the week. She took us, almost immediately, out to dinner at Drago's Seafood Restaurant. They are best known for their Charbroiled Oysters. I could have eaten a plate all by myself. They're cooked on a flaming grill, a ladle of butter, and finished with a lot of parmesan. We had our first beer, from a local brewery, Abita Amber.

After our dinner we had our first (of many many) order of beignets from Morning Call, one of the two places best known for these fried tasty treats.

If you think they put on enough powdered sugar you should probably add a little more.

No Beignet order is complete without a nice Cafe´ au Latte

Happy Travels!
